Ducati/Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil Racks
Earlier this year, Metaline was tasked with designing a display rack to promote Shell Advance Motorcycle Oil, co-branded with Ducati, for placement in Ducati retail locations and distributors across the US and Canada. Because most of these locations have limited space and could not accommodate for any additional floor displays, our point-of-purchase display design team needed to conceptualize a display with a minimal footprint. In order to conform to these constraints while keeping costs down, we created a sleek, tall concept rendering that would take up minimal floorspace while providing plenty of real estate for product.
Once this concept rendering was approved by the client, the Metaline display production team manufactured the racks using a wood structure, high resolution graphics, and metal frames. We also provided storage and distribution, keeping the entire project, from concept to completion, under one roof.
Shell – Pennzoil, Quaker State, Rotella Giant Bottles
In order to promote the newly launched 5-liter oil bottles for Pennzoil, Quaker State, and Rotella, Shell sought Metaline’s display design and manufacturing services to create larger-than-life replicas of the product. Understanding the need to match the display colors with Shell’s branded color palette, and working with an extremely tight deadline, our design and manufacturing teams worked in tandem to determine and purchase materials in the correct colors. This streamlined the procedure by avoiding additional delays that would be caused by painting and drying times.
Made using vacuum form tooling, the finished product was a set of 7’ tall plastic oil bottles with vinyl decals. In addition to design and production, Metaline provided shipping crates and handled all freight arrangements in order to ensure proper shipment of the promotional displays.
Mannington Design Center
This interactive floor display developed for Mannington Design Center allows their sales team and interested clientele to closely examine floor samples by sliding out large 24×66” flooring samples, which they can view at all angles. Working within a quick timeline, Metaline’s point-of-purchase design, engineering, and manufacturing teams conceptualized and produced the metal and plastic display. The finalized display features 14 panels within a cabinet and was developed to provide maximum stability while still being functional.
WWRD/Vera Wang Display
With the goal of showcasing this Vera Wang Wedgwood dishware set, Metaline created a point-of-purchase display that could feature both dinner and salad plates within one sleek design. After developing the design, Metaline’s POP display production team created a prototype for the client’s review. While printing on a wood display can prove difficult due to the nature of the material, our display design and engineering teams devised a solution. They increased the weight of the font enough to ensure a solid print but not so much that it altered the look of the branded type treatment. Following the client’s approval of the prototype, we produced the final product and provided drop shipping services for this series of medium density fiberboard (MDF) and real wood veneer countertop displays.
